The political thriller, which is set during the 21-month period from 1975 to 1977 when a state of emergency was proclaimed throughout the nation, features the actress who has won several National Awards as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

On June 25, 1975, when newspaper clippings show that a state of emergency has been imposed in India, protesters are throwing stones at police officers as the teaser opens.
